Project Update - December 2022

We did not have any new members this month. If you know of anyone that may be interested, please direct them to our page!

During December, there were fewer observations that usual, likely due to the changes in weather and the holiday season.

The project increased from 6730 to 6777 observations (+47), 1637 to 1649 species (+12), and 154 to 155 observers (+1).

Our number of Research Grade observations increased from 4241 to 4316 (+75). This equates to a Research Grade percentage of 63.69% (up from 63.02%).

In total, there were 35 observations added to the project within December 2022. The observations include 29 birds, 4 mammals, and 2 insects.

Of these, there were 24 species recorded. Bald Eagle was the species observed the most (4 occasions), followed by American White Pelican and Northern Saw-whet Owl (3 occasions each).

The observations came from just 4 observers. They were @martyndrabik (25), @briarrose777 (8), @hlaub02 (1), and @mikehensley75 (1).

The top observations of the month include:
American Kestrel - https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/144178817
