Found walking across an apartment complex to get to a pond! Seems to have something wrong with its wing, not sure the species though
Strobilomyces Floccopus
This fungus was found along Toe Path in Cuyahoga Valley National Park on a rotting stump. It’s disk like appearance and the fact that it “hangs” off of tree are the main characteristics used in its identification. I estimate it to have a length of 5.5 inches at its most distant points.
This organism helps decompose hardwood like stumps and other various woods. Can be located in all 50 states of the USA.
