Yesssssss finally spotted a real live giant earthworm after the storms last night! It was laboriously inching up a storm-drain. This is how it looked after being picked up, so it is scrunched up, not stretched to its maximum length. It was impressively thick. It squirmed vigorously for a second after I grabbed it but then just lay still.
