I studied Botany at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine and got my PhD in Biology from the University of Oregon. Now, I'm wandering the world in search of interesting flora and fauna. Plants are what fascinate me the most but I also enjoy learning about the natural history of all sorts of organisms.

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Australian National University.

All North American truffles are dog-found in collaboration with @heatherdawson's golden retrievers Cricket, Rye, and Pyro. Truffles found on other continents are from my own efforts at learning to find truffles without a dog.
