Why did the koala cross the road? 🐨🛣️ To get to the other side.

For this little fella, it would’ve been a bit of a shock trying to do so. This video footage was caught by dashcam of a koala trying to cross Loganlea Road, Meadowbrook during peak hour at 7.30am.

Luckily, all traffic managed to stop and the koala crossed safely into nearby bushland.

⚠️This is a reminder that it’s currently koala breeding season 🐨💚🐨. Please be aware of koalas and wildlife when driving, especially between 6pm to 6am, when koalas are moving about more.

The Logan Koala Count finishes at the end of this month so please submit your koala observations to iNaturalist, including their scats and audios of their mating calls.

Every community member who participates will also go into the draw to win a $50 gift card, and the resident with the highest number of confirmed sightings will also win a $50 gift card. Both winners will also receive a koala doll which are made by a small village of women in Borneo, helping them fight for financial freedom.
