Since hyperbole is the style of the day, I thought I'd hype something deserving of such praise!
@dpom has produced a fabulous photo guide to the birds of San Mateo County. Check it out here

...and let's consider expanding these efforts to the Butterflies, Nudibranchs, and HOVER FLIES of San Mateo county!
Thanks, @dpom

Wow! What a wonderful resource. Thanks @dpom. @chasgar Check this out.
@charlie well, I will certainly use that guide when next in northern New England! And happy birthday in this medium, too, as well as fb!
let me know if you use it, it makes it more likely that i will finish adding the customized blurbs. And thanks! not doing anything too exciting for my bday, but am going on a trip to California soon, that should be fun. If i survive the United flight without being beat up :(
I've got a Butterfly guide to San Mateo County ready to upload. Coming soon!
Wow!! I have heard about this guide and am so excited to dig in...and super happy to help on nudibranchs!
@kueda and I know that the pent-up demand for the Hover Fly guide is huuuuuuge!
And great news regarding the Butterfly guide. We'll advertise that on Sequoia's websites too @dpom !
Nice job @dpom. I did one for the beetles of SoCal so know how much work is involved in getting it just right. I'm still struggling to complete that guide.
