November EcoQuest Challenge

SEEK SEASIDE GOLDENROD

New York City has been historically home to 19 species of Goldenrod (Solidago), the iconic wildflower heralding cooler weather and the colorful fall foliage season. Seaside Goldenrod (Solidago sempervirens) inhabits coastal dunes, edges of salt marshes, and other maritime habitats, including around wharves and under piers and bridges. How many Seaside Goldenrod plants can you find?

This month's EcoQuest is tied to the theme of our 4th Annual EcoFlora Conference, "Wetland Research and Conservation in New York City", which will be held virtually on Friday, November 5 from 10am-12pm EST. For more information, click HERE
