October Photo-observation Winner

The theme for October was autumn colors. With so many great photo-observations, voters were able to choose two winners. The most popular photo-observations by vote were a Staghorn Sumac leaf (http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/427675) and a vibrantly colored Sugar Maple (http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/421235). Both of these were by Sue Elliot. It is "stick season", but there is still a lot of biodiversity beauty to be found. Get your photo-observations submitted for the November contest!

What is the theme for November's photo? December's?

Sometimes there isn't a theme. Sometimes there is. It is up to the volunteer photo-editor of that month. We rarely announce the theme ahead of time. Rather, we just encourage everyone to submit as many photo-obs of neat biodiversity as possible. Common or rare, it is all important stuff!
