-I love exploring nature! I really enjoy thinking and learning about ecological interactions and systems, especially through first-hand observation. I am driven to understand the many non-human species we share this planet with, but also to understand humans' place in these systems. This sometimes involves making "observations" on my smart phone for iNaturalist, and I love all the things and ways I can learn on here. But also, making "observations" can get in the way of making real observations.

-Most knowledgeable about orchids but also love and study many other plants, fungi, and other creatures such as those in my favorite taxa. Currently studying, paying attention to, and learning a lot about lichens and especially bryophytes (sensu lato).
