I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Although currently working on the mint family (Lamiaceae), I worked on the phlox family (Polemoniaceae; hence the username) for my Ph.D. dissertation at The University of Wisconsin-Madison in the lab of Dr. Ken Sytsma, particularly on family-wide questions and the genus Polemomium. My focus is on phylogenetic relationships and taxonomy of the families Ericaceae, Polemoniaceae, Fouquieriaceae, and bryophytes. Expert on the flora of North America, especially northeastern North America.
