I have been in land restoration [forest regeneration] since 1988. I started along my untrodden path of land stewardship after asking myself the question ‘What is that tree?’ [It is still one of my favourites (Doryphora sassafras)]. After years of study and working in a great range of natural landscapes I am just on the cusp of understanding some aspects of this land.
I am an ecological generalist trying to take in the miniscule to the over riding concepts of ecological function and restoration.
