I'm a biologist and a post-doc research fellow at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. Most of my research today is related to the evolution and distribution of species in the poison frog families (Aromobatidae/Dendrobatidae) and the study of amphibian communities impacted by large development projects.

I've been a naturalist since I was five. That's when I made my first entomological box, under my father's careful supervision. Twenty-six years later, my enthusiasm for nature hasn't changed a bit.

I hope this project brings like-minded people together, while providing useful information for science and for the general public.
