Not a scientist, I just have a bottomless curiosity about the natural world. I have been especially fascinated by trees since a young age. I am currently a volunteer at the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, Oregon, where I give conifer tours. I am also an artist, and some of my pine tree drawings were recently published in the book "Trees in Trouble: Wildfires, Infestations, and Climate Change" by Daniel Mathews (Counterpoint Press). I also create interpretive illustrations for parks and nature centers around the country. I also have photographed Pacific Northwest trees, plants and mushrooms extensively, so I expect many new entries will be coming.
