Grew up mostly in Monrovia, then Glendora, before moving to Irvine in 2022. Have always been fascinated by living things - starting with marine biology very early on, then becoming a birder when Covid hit (I kept some very spotty records prior to that). My interests vary immensely, but some of my favorite taxa at the moment include: birds (esp. waterfowl, warblers, shorebirds, gulls, tubenoses, hummingbirds, and flycatchers), SoCal marine fish, SoCal native plants, tidepool organisms, butterflies and moths, and native bees.

On iNat I mostly identify birds in the SoCal region, but have started learning local bees as well. Please note that any identification I make with the latter is likely tentative (sometimes explicitly stated so), so please do not immediately agree until an expert has also verified the ID.

While I'll iNat stuff basically anywhere, some of my favorite spots include Bonelli Regional Park, anywhere in the Glendora foothills (Big Dalton Canyon, my old yard, Colby Trail, Glendora Mountain Road, etc), La Jolla Cove. I've also been spending a lot of time around San Joaquin Marsh in Irvine, it being only 10 minutes away from me, and it's climbing up that list as well.
