My interest and passion is birds, and accurately contributing bird demographic and distributional data to support research & other analytical efforts. I have been an active participant in citizen science bird-focused efforts for 30+ years ranging from breeding bird surveys to climate watch studies to hawk watches to Christmas bird counts. I’m conservative with my opinions and will generally only weigh in where I see a gap that my experience can fill. That said, I am always interested in engaging with those of similar interests, recognize that birds are constantly teaching us new things, and welcome any opportunity to learn.

Beyond birds, I have a general interest in the natural world, will post photos occasionally and appreciate the iNat community guiding me to the correct id.
