I am an Entomologist and assistant professor of Biological Sciences at a small private university in eastern Virginia (Hampton U) where I teach courses in biodiversity, entomology, zoology, and conservation biology. As well as using faunistics to engage students in research. My own research is focused on myrmecology. Though I love ant taxonomy and entomology as a whole, I am Victorian in nature and I am considered by many to be an OG Naturalist. I spend any time I can in the field collecting insects, birding, looking for pine cones and exploring biota. Have been an active member of iNaturalist since April 2018.
