My name is Isaac H. Lichter Marck and I'm a Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Botany at the California Academy of Sciences where I study the Sunflower family (Compositae). I recently completed a taxonomic revision of the rock daisy tribe (genera Perityle, Laphamia, Galinsogeopsis, Nesothamnus, Eutetras, Pericome, Galeana, and Villanova) of the Southwest U.S., Northern Mexico, Central, and South America. I also study Hawaiian endemic plants of various groups. I have a love of plants that grow on cliffs and also a perennial fascination with caterpillars!
