Most of these observations were collected around the two porchlights (front and back) of my house in Fryeburg, Maine, tucked in a little clearing in a young (second or third growth) forest dominated by Eastern white pine, Eastern hemlock, Northern red oak, white oak, American beech, with smaller numbers of red pine, balsam fir, striped maple, red maple, paper birch, and black cherry (I think).
Shrub cover is mainly lowbush blueberry, sweetfern, trailing arbutus, with some sheep laurel.
