What is that tree in the back yard? It's a Peachleaf Willow.
I am enjoying iNaturalist.ca for the ability to satisfy my curiosity about the world around me. I knew the tree was not like the others in the back yard. Poor ash trees are gone or going, the remainder are birch, poplar and aspen and cedars among mulberry, dogwoods and sumac and a Bur Oak we planted. I waited until the leaves fell to take a picture as the other picture I took was of the crown and could be mistaken for something else. Now I will be on the hunt for others in the neighbourhood. I think there is one nearby
