Roses are red and full of insects too!

For some reason, I never noticed before how many insects I can find on roses. I started my fascination with the goldenrod flower spider and quickly discovered a new favourite; the bee-mimic beetle. But the more and more I look for these delightful individuals, the more I discover how many different types of insects are on a single type of flower. While this is by no means a new observation of the vast community, it is something that amazes me. I can't help myself rush over to each rose bush I find to look at the life found upon its petals. Maybe one day, I will also come to love the flower as much as I love the life living on top of it.

I look forward to my next discovery
