My guess is that it somehow slipped from the ledge and caught on with one leg to stop it from falling but then it couldn't lift itself up and then died from the amount of pressure built up in its skull. I'm not sure why it didn't just let go and fall the maybe one foot to the ground, I've seen these guys fall from up to 6ft and be fine so IDK why it didn't do that unless its foot got caught on the rock and couldn't detach itself.
