Catarrh Creek Road fire went through this area in March 2019. Shortly after the fire, we heard a single bird at this location. Birds have increased considerably in number and variety since then.
Any ideas what bird this is? Ignore the dog barking in the background.
Seen at 12:16. Ssp. A. n. australis.
Captured along the Mt Cordeaux track, about halfway to the summit and shortly before seeing a Lyrebird
Interested in the bird that is not an Eastern whip bird.
Bird had a faint green overall colour and two symmetrical black stripes running over its head and down the neck. Maybe 15cm long, long-ish pointy beak.
Then it few away, no photo.
Call was chuup. Chuup.
