Male Hilara species feature swollen tarsi, hence this is a female.

Description

The iNaturalist AI has suggested the genus Grallipeza of which there are 47 member species - and the individual in this photo certainly resembles G. nebulosa, for example. However the genus isn't recorded on iNaturalist as present in Australia.
I did wonder if it could be a member of the Dolichopodidae family, however I couldn't find anything in that family that resembles this guy. Any suggestions welcome! @sbushes @reiner
