Seen in the Los Jilgueros preserve by someone else
Swimming in 'temporary' pond in meadow
Found this sub-adult by the ponds on LCC campus. We're pretty sure this is a common valley garter. It was observed to have its own burrow in the rockwork near the pond.
Found this guy near the ponds at LCC campus. We're pretty sure this may be a northwestern. The camera does not do the snake justice as the dorsal band was a very high orange/bronze in person.
Dead on road
Not sure which ones are around here.
Road kill, evidently. This specimen was about 20 inches long.
Two different snakes of same species - in same habitat / location.
