Description

Hey BackyardBio kids! Here is one I often see (and more often hear) perched around the ponds here in Georgia. When it isn't flying around and making its loud rattling call, it is diving head-first into the water to grab fish. Kind of reminds me of an American version of Australia's Kookaburra! The "seen nearby" hint on suggestions should help your ID out quite a bit.
