Found on prairie with brakens fern, moss, and a pine leaf litter with Douglas fir above. Weather was sunny and 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit with frost in the early morning.

Weather: cold overcast day after light rains. Near freezing temperatures night prior.
Habitat: riparian zone growing on possibly red cedar branch.
Plant association: Thuja plicata, vine and big leaf maple overstory with salal and snowberry nearby
Key features: looks like a bird's nest. Perithecia only present in one of the obtained samples; light brown and cream. Parchment color edges of nest with dark brown inner walls. Ring pattern at base of cup. Growing gregariously across what seems to be a cedar branch.
