Were around most of the am.
Dade Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society's field trip in Everglades National Park. I had also walked Lucky Hammock before the trip and then a trail at the northern edge of LPK (Gate 9) after the trip.

Seen during a field trip organized by the Dade Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society, led by Lydia Cuni at Nixon Smiley Pineland Preserve. This pineland burned about 3 months prior so there were lots of fire-dependent plant species around to appreciate!

I recently created a project to collect observations taken during the Dade Chapter field trips.

Came out to check out the wetland threatened by the Kendall Parkway with a few friends from Instagram: @theswampandthesea @kevinberriz @george_da_nature_dude and @yyyanyayyy. This highway has been planned for many years but thankfully hasn't been built yet. Check out this video I posted about it to learn more: https://youtu.be/zCTnIi3oCJI
There are more links to news articles about the highway in the video's description.
