Several of these plants were found growing in full sun on a dry dirt access road along a powerline easement. The plant is prostrate, rosettte-forming. Tepals are densely covered with long silky hairs. Underside of leaves are pilose. Other vegetation in the area includes Chloris cucullata and Croton lindheimeri.
