I wonder if this plant is Valeriana sitchensis (Sitka Valerian)? It had small buds just emerging and grew on the damp, dark forest floor under Alders and some conifers.
Found growing out of the rocky beachside along with moss and berry brambles
Leaves are linear and undulate, about 3inches long
Stems are trailing like pea vines
One flower is present: 4 pink petals with a yellow pistil
