I'm housesitting for a friend and her cat didn't come in until late last night. I heard it come in and went to the kitchen to find one dead chick and one live chick that had just been brought in by the cat. I retrieved the chick and put it in a tissue box with a heat pack under it and a woollen sock tucked into the opening. I took it to a vet today, under advice from Sydney Wildlife Rescue, and I will check in tomorrow to see if it has survived.
