Right along trail
Locally very common throughout this entire meadow/field area, generally growing alongside and onto the buckwheats. In many areas, it was near impossible to walk around without stepping on one of them.
It should be noted that the leaves and inflorescences were notably smaller than the ones I've seen at lower elevations.
Probably part of the same population documented along the ridge back in the late 1990s by Boyd and Bramlet.
