I followed this butterfly across the lawn on the south side of the baseball diamond in Ramsden Park at midday on a mostly sunny day with just high thin cloud and a high temperature of 18C.
The light spots in the black border on the upperside of the wings suggests that this individual is a female.
Possibly Checkered White, need confirmation.
Many fluttering around. Also saw many on the highway south of Austin while stuck in traffic
