GPS accurate to 10 m. Rigid, upright, shrublet to 25 cm when unbrowsed with short lateral shoots terminating in 1-2 flower(s). Shorter and more branched where browsed. Smooth leaves linear, 2-3 mm long in new growth, to 10 mm when more mature but then sparse to infrequent. Purple, lilac flowers appear to be solitary at branch ends but buds of additional flowers are discernable. Flowers are terminal. Sepals highly unequal. Flag / standard smallest of the sepals. Wing / lateral sepals enlarged and petaloid unequally bilobed, the lower lobe being the largest. Short pedicel. Flowering in late April. Rûens Silcrete Renosterveld.
