Description

Similar size to Cuspicona thoracica posted two days ago, but the pattern across the shoulders is not quite the same as the pale and brown colour extends further down the face (excuse my unscientific description). Is it the same species or a related one?

Leaf beetle, Toowoomba
Identified as Paropsis charybdis on Bowerbird by Liz O'Donnell: "See https://sites.google.com/site/insectsoftaschrysomeloidea/suborder-polyphaga/chrysomelidae-leaf-beetles/subfamily-chrysomelinae/genus-paropsis/paropsis-charybdis

If this ID is correct, this sighting extends the known range of the species north - the nearest sighing was in Warwick, closer to the Queensland-NSW border. Most sightings have been in Victoria and Tasmania."
