In garden beneath eucalypt tree amongst fallen leaves. Cap is 6cm across and stem 7cm long.
Taken with flash, all except for the last photo, which shows the dull grey cap colour better. No smell at all, cap texture dry.
We've had this bolete here before, but not with such a small cap and swollen stipe as this one. Something had taken a bite out of it and the flesh had gone liver-red where that had happened. When I pinched off a new piece it was yellow fleshed but stained blue within a few seconds. Pores yellow. Didn't check for smell.
Location: Literally on my front doorstep. We have a wooden bridge with moss and mushrooms growing on it. I walk on it everyday. For some time they have been there, but lucky to catch with the flecks. finally
