My friend texted me a picture and said it's a worm that moves like a snake, in their street. I drove over to her house in Pasadena. The snake was still alive, but had sustained mortal injuries, possibly from a car, cat, or bird. The snake was gasping for air, and died 10 minutes later.

Absolutely terrible photos. I don’t expect anyone to ID them but I think this sighting is worth noting. These are green parrots. Over 100 of them. You could hear them coming. I’ve never seen such a big flock here. They were heading east.
