7th location for the 7th day of the iNat DFW challenge. My best nature hunting buddy (my son) and I are blitzing the Elm Fork greenbelt south of FM 455, Ray Roberts.
These guys destroyed my passion vine.

Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. Appeared to be a juvenile bird that slowly walked through the woods, away from us.

Day 2 of City Nature Challenge! After 15 hours in the field yesterday, I was a bit worn out… but there was so much left to see! After the SWNP afternoon, there was still quite a bit of light, so we stopped by River Legacy on the way home. Spent a few hours there.
Will work on all of these ID’s later on – just wanted to upload them first.
Locations approximate for each observation (normally I try to get a little more specific, but I was all over the place on these days!).
This thing was interesting it was a very pretty spider with colors of yellow, green, pink, and black. It was a very interesting spider and it was a pretty good size but still pretty small. My camera at first wasn't picking it up but eventually I was able to get this shot. This one was very cool. The spider's rear end was kind of boxed shaped which was interesting. It was a very beautiful spider; I don't think I have ever seen this one before. I have a lot on my life list thanks to this contest. This has been one of the coolest experiences ever.
