Birchleaf or white spiraea has become more abundant since the 2020 fire in the postfire understory at the south end of the Bridger Range, Gallatin County, Montana. These photos were taken during July 2022, nearly two years after the September 2020 burn. The last three photos with plants in fruit were taken from the same population during August 2021, or about a year after the burn. The very last photo of a plant in vegetative condition was taken June 2021, early in the first summer following the 2020 burn. All photos were taken of the same population.
