I think this is an empty egg capsule. I only found one,,on top of some algal wrack, still moist from early morning tide. It was intact apart from where its base had been anchored. Very light mass, empty but flexible with compression between fingers ie not yet brittle. Not sure I've seen this before, but reminds me of the egg capsules laid by Conus anemone.
A number of limpets were on the rock platform. They were mostly collected in small rockpools with water.
3 small shells that have been mis-sorted. Found at Moruya Heads 2017-2021.
They are compared with other Pisania shells that have been posted before.
Halophila ?
The egg capsules on this Red-baits tunicate, found in a mound of mostly brown macroalgae wrack.
A beach washed valve.
I think...
On beach washed wrack but not anchored to the algae.
Aggregate, as beach washed substrate fauna.
