On Sunday morning, July 2, my two friends saw a wolverine run from north to south across the small creek from that flows from Upper to Lower Pine Creek Lake around 9:45am. Alas I was out of sight and out of earshot, until the wolverine was no longer in view, but I ran around looking for it and checked out the tracks afterwards (photos attached.) The friends are both really pretty solid with wildlife and the tracks also checked out (I have previous experience working on predator tracking projects.)

Female bi state sage grouse startled in sagebrush southeast of Bodie Mountain
We spent the morning looking for sage grouse on the ground, but apparently we should have looking high up in the sky instead!
