These two specimen are both more of a chalky red orange than many I tend to see in the area
It was a great moment of my life to see this beautifull tree on site, with the discoverer. Those 30 remaining mature trees (15 m) are the only one existing. It is one of the rarest palm tree of the world. Some were flowering with a huge inflorescence of 6m.
We are reintroducing some in Anjajavy's reserve which is 30Km from this site.
