Set up a couple sheets for blacklighting about 30m apart on the berm. This observation is from sheet one described below.

I had to get creative with these sheets since I always just them to trees or some other solid points but had nothing in the area I wanted to set them up. I used a metal folding cot stood upright for the first sheet and two cheapy tripods with a rope tied across to hold up the second sheet (had to use weights to make the tripods sturdy).

Sheet one: Lit by Bioquip blacklight powered by a battery with 12v outlet made for jumping car/inflating tires and a cheapy DJ blacklight connected to USB powerpack.

Sheet two: Lit by three cheapy DJ blacklights connected to USB powerpacks.

What a great start of national moth week! We blacklighted at Spring Creek Forest Preserve in Garland, and over 100 people showed up to celebrate bugs! :) Spotted quite a few neat bugs this evening. :)

I had two blacklight setups going in this area. Temps around 75 degrees, moon around 25%
