Encountered in small stream. Outside of mapped range; ID based on cream-colored underparts.
Spooked by a Snowy Egret. Snake has fish in its mouth.
Probably chrysoscelis, but maybe versicolor.
Observed climbing the same cliffs we were.
These salamanders miraculously appear almost every December, around this time during or right after a rain. They show up on our driveway or patio. Today, a Hermit Thrush was trying to eat one when we saved it and relocated it in our yard.
Sorry - this was supposed to be for the treefrog (the other is for the Anole)...the batch upload did weird things.
Found near the Sugarlands Visitors Center (specifically, behind the cabin I was living in as an SCA intern).

This observation is for the skink. I am only sure of the genus level. Ran it by a herpetologist (Carl Franklin) He thinks it possibly is a prairie skink, Plestiodon septentrionalis but cannot swear to that. It was caught in a blackland prairie area.
Baby turtle/tortoise
a lizard with orange head and slightly blue tail, hanging out around a tree that had fallen or leaned over in a relatively shady part of the trail.
Seen while night collecting for insects
A young Ocelot visiting water feature at Visitor Center headquarters. Tragically, the Ocelot was ill and found dead a few days later.

I was honored to have this observation selected as observation of the day for June 11, 2020, and again as observation of the week (week of June 21, 2020). It is covered in this blog post: A Trip to Texas Provides a Long Sought Photographic Opportunity - Observation of the Week, 6/21/20.
