Body length: 8,3 mm.

Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) females
Postmetatorax rounded in the upper part of the side border, at least behind the side panels.
Central area at the end with a curved up, sharp, fine margin.
Terminal part of tergite 1 with abundant to very dense, distinct punctation.
Tergite 1 black, polished between the points and strongly shiny.
Tergite ends not lightened.
Legs dark. Thorax brown-yellow to grey hairy.
Face not longer than wide.
Central area with very fine, very dense, reticulated wrinkling that looks like fine curling. Tergite 4 completely felted with yellow-grey. Mesonotum faintly overlaid with dark green, very densely, finely punctate (ca. 25 μm/0.2 - 0.4), the narrow spaces finely shagreened, lacking lustre. Tergite 1 - 3 along the sides, 2 and 3 at the base, 3 also banded yellow-grey at the end. Tergite 1 on the bumps and also at the end of the disc scattered, otherwise densely punctate. 8 mm.

Female. Does not seem to align completely with any of the four named Australian species:

Cryptanusia gigantea (Girault, 1917) (Xenanusia gigantea) – No mention of orange scutellum

Cryptanusia aureiscutellum (Girault, 1926) (Anusoidea aureiscutellum) – Hind legs completely yellow (?)

Cryptanusia varia (Girault, 1927) (Anusoidea varia) – Hind legs completely purple (?)

Cryptanusia comperei (Timberlake, 1929) (Anusoidea comperei) – Apex of hind tibiae and hind tarsi brownish
