I have seen Bembix wasps make very similar burrows in the dunes out here before. This is the first time I've seen these beetles digging burrows at almost the same location in the dunes as the wasps. Super interesting. Not sure about the ID.

On Quercus agrifolia leaf in savannah. Small marasmioids, pileus whitish, planar, sometimes with a brown umbo. Lamellae widely spaced, narrowly attached. Stipe thin, black, wiry.
