Description

This is the first sighting of a wild-caught Hypena opulenta that overwintered in the vicinity of its experimental release site in Ottawa. Hypena opulenta is being evaluated as a bio-control for Dog-Strangling Vine (Vincetoxicum rossicum). Researchers Naomi Cappuccino and Peter Hall were present and collected voucher specimens.
