Fiery Skipper On American Waterwillow
Both this species of butterfly and this species of wildflower are very tiny. I would never have noticed their beauty if I had not started taking photos then enlarging them. There is so much beauty right under our nose that we never see.

I was laying on my back under a patch of American Waterwillow and waiting for one of the butterflies in the area to stop by. I was able to get a different perspective. The sun is shining thru the butterfly's wings. This is a very tiny butterfly. This was an experiment, do you like it?

This plant is in the Acanthaceae family. Chuparosa is recognized by its orange, tube-like flowers. I was lucky enough to get a picture while a hummingbird was drinking its nectar! This sighting was in Tahquitz Canyon.
