Description

Platerodrilus ruficollis

There are two species of Platerodrilus in Singapore.
Platerodrilus ngi and Platerodrilus ruficollis.

It seems that there is higher chance of seeing them on logs that are wet from previous night rain.

Not sure if it's the location or the environment...they appear at different times on these same logs (which have since rot and gone....) with the logs gone, have not seen them at that area ever since.
