Tracking proves its worth once again. I first found beaver tracks along this river in 2015. They have been absent here for decades. The first find was near the confluence. Today, 25 miles from the confluence, I found beaver tracks, indicating that at least one beaver has made it this far. There was also a castoreum mound. It may not seem like much, but to me it indicates that beavers are trying to repopulate this river, which is fantastic.
