Description

A freshwater fish that is part of the Cyprinidae family. They tend to live in freshwater bodies and streams and some creeks. Red shiners can live up to three years. They are omnivorous, meaning they eat both aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates. They can grow up to 3 inches in length and tend to live away from bodies of water that are too acidic.
